Holyhead Rebranding Project (BRAND)
A rebranding and marketing project for Holyhead took place in the period 2010-2013. Project activities included an audit of the current brand, consultation with stakeholders, development of a new brand identity, a new photography suite, new brand expression graphics, signage plans, support for businesses to use the new brand, local events support, and the production of a branded regeneration newsletters.
The project formed part of a Welsh – Irish partnership with towns Rhyl, Dun Laoghaire, and Athy. It was 75% funded under the EU Ireland – Wales Interreg Programme, with match funding from the Welsh Government, Anglesey County Council, and Holyhead Town Council. Holy Island was identified as a key asset for attracting tourists and project aimed to better integrate Holyhead and Holy Island.
